I designed this course as a personal project. After joining CrossFit (CF) some years ago I notice the same queries and questions from new members arriving that I had when I had joined.
So I collated all these and decided to put together a course that could entice more people to join, with confidence, and a solid knowledge about the CrossFit brand and what to expect from the gym. I created a scenario about a gym manager who wanted to increase membership and therefore revenue to build his business.
Problem: Potential members can be put off trying CrossFit due to the reputation and rumours that occasionally surround it and therefore business is not increasing.
Solution: Educate potential members and offer a free trial to encourage them to try it out.
1: Identify the goal:
Increase revenue at the gym.
LO 1: Able to describe a typical CF class.
LO2: Understand how CF could help you.
LO3: Give knowledge and therefore confidence around trialling CrossFit with a no risk free trial.
2: Presentation:
An interactive presentation with gamification to win a free trial.
Available on demand as it would be sent via email to potential customers.
Simple and short to make it easily accessible for a wide demographic.
3: Graphic Design:
Simple and bold with a basic red, black and grey colour scheme with accents of lime green.
Plenty of images to describe and explain CF more quickly and effectively than words would.
4: Interactive Elements:
The main gamification element is about winning dumbbells by reading the course. Learners must complete all interactions in order to win their dumbbells, ensuring all the information is revealed.
An animated audio-visual scene of dumbbells bouncing into their rack brings a little fun to the course.
A final scene gives instructions on claiming their free trial, with some celebratory fireworks.
The final scene.
Dumbbell rack: dumbbells bounce across from the left to land in their space with an audio 'clunk'
Also used are Click to Reveal, Drag and Drop, Tab Interactions and a Multiple Choice Quiz.

If the course were to be uploaded to an LMS I would like to make the free class alert automated so that learner completion details are stored and an email automatically sent, inviting them to a class.
I would also prefer to record an audio of the gym owner rather than using the AI generated voice. I would do this using my Yeti Blue Microphone and Audacity or Garageband, both of which I have a lot of experience using.
